Zine Material: Balance
Ever since I saw Frankentoon’s Spectral Grains, I’ve been wanting to try out stippling for texturizing my art. I rather like it more than the soft airbrushing I’ve used for ages, and I can see using this style going forward.
What better way to try it out in a Two of Pentacles-inspired piece?
I like pieces that hint to a deeper story or offer a message of hope or encouragement. We’re all building our lives in one way or another. Lately, it feels like I’ve been moving faster than others, and I worry this might make them feel like they’re being left behind or forgotten.
But they’re not. Maybe I’m going ahead so I can lay a foundation for something I can share with them. Maybe I’m finding balance so I can be a better person for when they catch up.
